These terms cover buying and using DiskMate, a Mac app made by Surendra Pandar (“we”, “us”). By buying, downloading or using DiskMate, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
Buying DiskMate
DiskMate is a one-time purchase ($5 at the current price, before any tax). There is no subscription and nothing renews. Orders are processed by Dodo Payments, our Merchant of Record, who handles payment, tax, invoicing and receipts. Their terms also apply to the checkout. Prices may change, but a change never affects a purchase you've already made.
Your licence
When you buy DiskMate, we grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, lifetime licence to install and use it on Macs that you own or control. You may not:
- Resell, rent, share or redistribute the app or your download link.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or modify the app, except where the law allows it regardless of this term.
- Remove or bypass any notices or protections in the app.
DiskMate and everything in it remain our property. The licence gives you the right to use it, not ownership.
Updates and support
Your purchase includes any updates we release for DiskMate. We aim to keep it working with new versions of macOS but can't guarantee it. Support is by email at surendrapandar.work@gmail.com, on a best-effort basis. DiskMate needs a Mac with Apple silicon running macOS 14 Sonoma or later; please check this before buying.
Refunds
If DiskMate doesn't work for you, email surendrapandar.work@gmail.com within 14 days of purchase with your payment ID or the email you bought with, and we'll give you a full refund. Refunds are issued through Dodo Payments to your original payment method. This doesn't limit any refund rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
Your files and your responsibility
DiskMate is designed to be careful: it never removes anything on its own, and items you clean are moved to the Trash so you can restore them. The one exception is emptying the Trash, which permanently deletes its contents and is labelled as such. You decide what to clean, so please review your selection before confirming, and keep regular backups (for example with Time Machine), as you should with any tool that manages files.
Disclaimer
DiskMate is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose or that the app will be free of errors. We can't guarantee that every file DiskMate suggests is safe to remove on your particular setup.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including loss of data, profits or business, arising from your use of DiskMate. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the app. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that can't be excluded by law, such as for fraud, or removes rights you have as a consumer.
Ending the licence
You can stop using DiskMate at any time by deleting it. If you seriously break these terms, for example by redistributing the app, your licence ends and you must delete your copies. A refunded purchase also ends the licence.
The website
You may use this website for personal, lawful purposes. Its content, the DiskMate name and logo belong to us. How we handle data on the site and in the app is explained in our Privacy Policy.
General
If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies. Not enforcing a term right away doesn't mean we give up the right to do so later. These terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the whole agreement between you and us about DiskMate.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will change the date at the top when we do. The terms in effect when you bought DiskMate continue to apply to that purchase unless you agree otherwise.
